	It was Guy de Maupassant who wrote: if somebody had just one day to spend in Sicily and asked me "What should I go and see?", I would reply without hesitation: "Taormina". You might think it's just something to go and see, a view, but it's a view with everything in it that might have been created to seduce the eye, brain and imagination. Taormina is not just a landscape with the summit of Mount Etna in the background, it's a heritage of art and culture that has made it famous throughout the world. Casa De Luna lies in the old town centre just a short walk from the main street, hidden in a tranquil back-street, and is a comfortable and elegant apartment on three levels, furnished with antiques of very good taste and equipped with all modern comforts: air-conditioning in the bedrooms, telephone, dishwasher, TV and stereo with CD player. To get to the beach, the beautiful bay called Baia di Mazzarò, it's best to take the funicular railway about 200m from the house, while for parking the car you should use the pay car park about 800m away. The airport of Catania can be reached in about 40 minutes by car, via the motorway that links Messina and Catania. You should definitely take a trip to see Mount Etna, which is a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

It is good quality, reasonably priced and comfortable-trough its sea views, through exotic plants and trees! Despite the temptation of sea sand sand, this south-western coastline is wonderful combination of lovely setting and atmospheric ruins, especially at sunset


	Taormina - Villa Isola Bella - 4 + 2 pax [ID 1640] (Visits: 1759)
	The coast at Mazzarò is the sea resort for Taormina, and lies on a spur of rock jutting out into the sea on a jagged coastline with sandy inlets and a deep blue, crystal-clear sea. L'Isola Bella (meaning "The Beautiful Island") was given to the apartment due to the view you enjoy from the terraces of the property which takes in a little island about 100 metres off-shore, famous for its history and giving a beautiful contrast between its vegetation and the blue of the sea. The apartment lies on a promontory thrusting out into the sea, in a small apartment building, and has a private entrance (about 30 steps). It comes furnished with high-quality furniture and is equipped with many comforts such as: air-conditioning in the living-room (which cools the entire environment), dishwasher and private parking. The terraces look onto the sea, which can be reached via two flights of about 140 steps in all. The beaches are all furnished and you can hire a space with sun-shade and deck-chairs. At less than 100 metres from the apartment is the station of the cable-car that takes you to the centre of Taormina, so you can avoid the parking problems in the centre of Taormina which is 2 kms away by car. Mazzarò has all the services you might need and many restaurants.

	The apartment has been made from the sub-division of a large villa lying on the rocky promontory above the bay of Mazzarò. The special characteristic of Marika is the fact that it has private access to the sea, which is reached along a path where you need to exercise some care, but has a particular beauty all of its own. Once you reach the gate that leads to the beach, guests have the use of a furnished sunbathing terrace. Both the sunbathing terrace and the path may be shared with the owners who occasionally occupy the other property. The apartment is very comfortable and has been furnished with care. Its private terrace has been furnished for dining outside and from here you can enjoy a splendid view of the gulf. The apartment has also been equipped with dishwasher, oven and washing machine. About 150 metres away you will find food shops, bars and restaurants, a pay car-park and the cable-car which takes you straight to the centre of Taormina, and which we would recommend to avoid the problem of parking in the centre of the town. It lies 2 kms from Taormina and 50 kms from Catania.


	San Gregorio di Catania - Villa San Bartolomeo - 8 + 5 pax [ID 1603] (Visits: 1686)
	The property lies close to San Gregorio di Catania, a small village on the slopes of Mount Etna about 10 kms from the centre of Catania and about 5 kms from Acicastello, one of the best-known bathing areas along the Costa dei Ciclopi (Cyclops coast). This small nucleus of houses consists of the main villa, occupied by the owners, and 4 annexes along the sides of the beautiful garden, with trees, Mediterranean and tropical plants, and lying in the centre the 6x12m shared swimming-pool. The 4 apartments have been recently renovated, filled with quality furniture and equipped with air-conditioning. Each apartment has its own private external area, where you can dine outside and relax in the grounds. They all have an independent entrance from the outside. The property lies in an ideal position for visiting the east coast of Sicily and the city of Catania. Taormina lies about 50 kms away and can be reached in about 40 minutes along the motorway; the nearest beaches are along the Costa dei Ciclopi: Acicastello and Acitrezza, and can be reached in about 15 minutes by car. There a many good-quality restaurants in the area, both with prevalently fish menus as you go down to the coast, and with traditional Sicilian dishes where you start to go up towards the traditional villages that you find climbing up towards Mount Etna.
